About the course

Welcome to one of the most beautiful park courses in Denmark. Rungsted Golf Club is set in a scenic area with a rich variety of wild life. The course is located in a diversified terrain with plenty of trees, bushes, lakes and streams which are situated to make a round of golf both a scenic and an exciting experience. The course is constructed on moorland meaning that the course, even in the driest of summers doesn’t dry out completely and is achallenge on a soft turf and moist greens.

The course is constructed from drawings by Charles Atkinson Mackenzie – brother of one of the most  esteemed golf course designers, Alistair MacKenzie who designed Augusta National.

The front nine holes, with its two par-3 and seven par-4 holes, offers a good challenge to any golfer. The back nine are considered somewhat easier, primarily because the par-5 holes are located here and several of the par-4 holes are short. Take care not to be fooled by the apparent simplicity of the holes as several of these demand extremely precise drives. In particular, the last four holes of the course are known, loved and feared by many players.

The 15th hole, where the Rhododendrons are in full bloom during summer, is particularly scenic and considered the signature hole of the course.
